Why is it important to develop meaningful relationships with the people you worship with? Think of a close relationship you have had with people or someone at church. How has this been a positive element in your life?

Individuals sometimes lose their connection with Christ. They stop praying, reading the bible and start to engage in a lifestyle that is inconsistent with even their own values. I have seen so many instances where it’s the relationships that they have with their Christian friends that helps them to reconnect with God in a personal way. We are sociable beings, we all need friends. What better friends to have than those who will encourage us in our walk with God.
Friends at church keep us balanced. We share similar "life" experiences (office/work politics, volunteer events, relationship struggles) after sunset, until we see each other the next time we worship. The comfort that I find is that I CHOOSE Christianity to get me through. Reconnecting with similar people on a weekly or mid-week basis reinforces my choice.
