Revelation, and the God revealed in it
This week's question comes from Sunday's lesson. How much time do you spend in the Word? How much of your life is patterned by what it teaches? Think back on the past 24 hours. What have you done, or not done, in that time frame based on the authority of the Scripture?

The Great Controversy: The Foundation
Pride, autonomy, independence. What images do these words conjure up in your own mind? In what ways are all of us in danger of falling into the traps, which are sometimes very subtle, that pride, autonomy, and independence can set for us? After all, under the right conditions, what's wrong with any of these concepts?

Personal Evangelism and Witnessing
In terms of personal evangelism, are there any 'mission fields' which may seem more challenging than others, (i.e. home, neighborhood, workplace, etc.)? If so, what makes this mission field so challenging in particular?

Sequential Evangelism and Witnessing
How do we reconcile our mandate which is to teach others to seek first the kingdom and his righteousness and all of these things shall be added with the need to meet people's needs first before we bombard them with Christ?
Should the message of Matt 25:35-40 be part of a fixed church strategy?

Evangelism and Witnessing - Every Member Ministry
Evangelism strategies are often aimed at those who are impoverished or experiencing personal or social difficulty. Is there room to minister to those who are socially prosperous? Is there evidence that Jesus ministered to those who were considered successful? If so, were there any benefits to this strategy?

The Promise of Prayer
Technology is a wonderful thing. The "information highway" is now literally at your finger tips. Generation "Plugged In" refers to those of us who regularly multi-task with several electronic devices. Social experts also say we're less able to communicate, emotionally disconnected, impatient, expect instant gratification, and wrapped up in self. Characteristics not in line with prayer. How can we revitalize prayer? Is it even possible?

God the Lawgiver
When we think of the "law" of God we usually think about the 10 commandments of Exodus 20:1-17. In verses 18 and 19 the Israelites beg Moses to speak God on their behalf. After the interruption God continues to speak to Moses in verse 23 and onwards through chapters 21 - 23. If God was allowed to continue his presentation, would our view of the "law" of God remined confined to the 10 commandments as it is today?
We are told in Exodus 20 that the people were afraid of the thunder and lightining and fire on mount sinai. Was it God's intention to scare the people when he was communicating with them? Why or Why not?

The Holiness of God
Think of all the words that come to mind when you hear the term "Holy or Holiness". Write them if needed; and look at them carefully.
How do we (the Church) or I (personally) treat Holy entities in our daily lives?
If it is not with the same affection as purposed by God, then how do we change that and honor what is Holy as we walk daily with Jesus?

God as Redeemer homework assignment
James and John make a unique request to Jesus in Mark 10:35-45 and Matthew 20:20-23. What do you think they were trying to achieve? What was Jesus' response?
Review the description of the "Four Beasts" and the "24 Elders" in Revelation 4 (compare to Ezekiel 1) and Revelation 19:4. What do you think about the request of James and John based on the description of the Throne Room in Revelation?
Post your reply.
